10. October - Solar Chakra
“Find your core. Feel your wings. See your light”
Zaneta Ra
October is the 10th month of the traditional calendar year, representing the solar chakra & the fall of Mother Nature’s energy, as we pass September’s Autumn Equinox & British Summer Time ends on the 25th October when the clocks go back.
Samhain (Halloween) is on the 31st of October, symbolising the start of the darkest 6 weeks of the year as we move towards the Winter Solstice in December when the light begins to return again.
Autumn & the dark is not a time to be feared but a reminder to take time after the busy Summer months to regroup your energy before Christmas, which can be a little chaotic at a time when Mother Nature is calling us all in.
Although Autumn & Winter does not mean we have to be stuck indoors, so make sure you get outside for some sunlight & vitamin D when the sun is out & enjoy some nature walks watching the falling leaves or changing colours of the trees.
The moon changes this month are: new moon 10th, first quarter 18th, full moon 26th & last quarter moon 1st November.
Sunrise during the month is approximately 7.15am & sunset 6.25pm
Zodiac signs are libra & scorpio
Birthstones opal & tourmaline
