Create a Spring & seasonal shopping list…
Over the last year I have learnt about British seasonal and sustainable food and created a monthly seasonal shopping list to add to our store staples. Now I have a complete year of fresh British seasonal veg that I can keep coming back to, which actually saves time and hopefully some money and is good for our health too but also helps support British farmers and encourage the kids to eat fresh veg and foods that are locally grown in UK, as opposed to all year round and overseas all the time.
In case it’s helpful here are some seasonal staples that will be coming up for Spring you may like to add to your shopping list over the next few months when it starts to warm up more and they start appearing in the shops and online but as always listen to your body…
Wild salmon, sea trout, wild garlic, peas, spring onions, new potatoes, lettuce, parsley, purple sprouting broccoli, watercress…
