End of Winter veg… hello Spring!

With the start of Spring just around the corner we will start to see in the shops the decline in Winter UK veg such as kale, Brussels, leeks, squash and rainbow carrots compared to the rising fresh salads and some new seasonal and sustainable fish too, such as Wild Salmon. It is worth noticing when you do shop where your produce comes from and also whether it is in season as this can be a fun way to cook and get creative in the kitchen too over the year…

March seasonal treats - purple sprouting broccoli, wild garlic, spring onions

new - wild salmon, radish, ewes cheese

in - cauliflower, chard, lettuce, spinach

last month - Brussels, kale, chicory, kale, leeks, parsnips

store - apple, pear, beets, garlic, onion, potatoes, squash

These are just some of the seasonal foods in March and you can find and add others you like or don’t… please listen to your body!
